Research direction
Start by tracing _MeshIndexSet indexing and compare the existing node-connectivity path with face_face_connectivity. Confirm how indexing edges and faces should construct non-node connectivities, then verify that the resulting connectivity matches the expected indexed mesh behavior.
Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
Description
E.g. face_face_connectivity
This a pure oversight. Will need different code to what we have currently done for nodes when indexing edges/faces.
