Research direction

Start with the mergelist entry point and the related discussion in issue #4370, since no implementation file or test is named here. Define how an optional prefix based on list names should distinguish duplicate output columns, then add coverage showing the intended behavior for repeated column names.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

joins

3- Prefixing output columns with list names could also be considered in mergelist to distinguish the source of the output columns, especially when some data sets have some columns with the same names.
