Prerequisites
- I have written a descriptive issue title.
- I have searched all open and closed issues to ensure it has not already been reported.
- I have read the troubleshooting guide.
- I am sure this issue is with the extension itself and does not reproduce in a standalone PowerShell instance.
- I have verified that I am using the latest version of Visual Studio Code and the PowerShell extension.
- If this is a security issue, I have read the security issue reporting guidance.

Steps to Reproduce
(1) Open pwsh console (or in my case an app hosting PowerShell Core).
(2) In VSCode, attach to this process for PowerShell debugging.
(3) In pwsh, invoke the attached script debug-4489.far.ps1 -- it sets some breakpoints for testing.
debug-4489.far.ps1.zip
(4) In pwsh, type and invoke test1 -- it breaks into VSCode debugger.
(5) In VSCode terminal type $host and hit Enter.
Expected result
VSCode evaluates the statement $host and prints the output (the host properties in this result).
It definitely used to work like this some versions ago.
Actual result
Nothing happens in the terminal until we go to the attached pwsh console and hit Enter there.
(Why? And how a user is supposed to know this?)
Guía de contribución
Primeros pasos
