Description
We should add additional tutorials to cover "advanced" usage of MEDS or alternate usage patterns. This warrants a full specification, but I'd recommend including:
- The customized extraction code currently used in the basic tutorial that we should remove per #20
- Testing MEDS pipelines and tools via
meds_testing_helpers - Doing more advanced or customized pre-processing analyses via MEDS-Reader and MEDS-Transforms
- Data visualization with MEDS-Inspect
- Benchmarking MEDS tools with
meds_testing_helpers
This is blocked on #20.
See also #8 for tracking dedicated MEDS-DEV tutorials which should be created and added into this set-up.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the blocker in #20 and the dedicated MEDS-DEV tutorial tracking in #8. Define the specification and tutorial coverage for testing, preprocessing, visualization, and benchmarking with the named MEDS tools; done means the advanced tutorials are added to this setup.
