Description

Bug explanation

I recently upgraded to 4.9 from 4.8 and some points of the application the unmanaged memory shoots up as high as 85GB. There is no major change from implementation side after the upgrade. Already tested by downgrading to older versions of Material design.

Version

4.9

Research direction

Start by reproducing the unmanaged-memory increase while comparing versions 4.8 and 4.9; the issue provides no file, test, or entry point. Trace the regression in the application and Material Design version changes, then verify that the affected scenario no longer reaches the reported memory usage.
