Description
Issue Type: Bug
Occasionaly my python interpreter stops working, it no longer detects mistyped variables, functions, or doesnt classify and color them. It basically turns into a text editor, restarting VS solves the problem, though it is still annoying.

Research direction
No file, test, or entry point is identified. Start by reproducing the intermittent loss of Python variable and function detection and syntax coloring in VS Code 1.66.1 on Windows with MagicPython 1.1.0; done means the failure no longer requires restarting VS Code.
