Description

In order to decide what features should be added to interact with existing vanilla features, we need to ask ourselves a few questions:

1. Why are there TSC facilities around the generated world? **Current answer: they are/were for scientific research and the creation of a cure in response to the Pale outbreak.**
2. Did the creatures break containment at the point when the player creates the world, or do they break containment afterwards? **Current answer: They had already broken out and roam the overworld looking for humanoids.**
3. Where are the researches that worked in the facilities? **All transfurred, or succumbed to Pale.**
4. How wide-spread is the Pale virus? **Current answer: The virus is spread globally. Players are the only entity effected by Pale and can contract it from many mobs. Villagers are not impacted by Pale.**
5. How much time have villagers had to react to Pale? **Current answer: None, as they are not effected by Pale.**
6. How much time have villagers had to react to the breakout? **Current answer: None, their only protection is the iron golem.**

So as it stands currently in the mod: the player loads into a world were villagers are not effected by pale and the latexes have just broken out of containment.

I don't think this existing timeline is cohesive and it should be reworked to be something more interesting. So here's a collection of my ideas:

- Villagers can contract Pale and can die from it.
- Villages should be visibly impacted (debree, PPE, vacant).
- Villagers can be "safe" transfurred like players, and will maintain their trade/occupation. This will serve as a means to cure Pale.
- Perhaps a scientist occupation could facilitate this process with help from the player.
- The breakout can happen as a result of player interaction. This would mean latexes don't roam the overworld until the breakout happens, and facilities would have NPCs actively researching for a cure.
- This event would have a massive impact on the overworld.
- Latexes would spawn naturally, and villages could be overrun.
- Multiplayer worlds and servers may need controls so a rogue player can't trigger the breakout on their own volition.
- This event would give a singleplayer world the choice to corrupt the world and spread latexes globally, the choice of two factions: Villagers versus Latexes.
- The player may be able to eradicate the latexes, but what would remain?

The above bullet points are up for comment, and aren't final for what will be in the mod.
