Description

I am using Julia (v 0.6.2) and try to import PyCall by `using PyCall`. An Import Error "No module named site" occured.

I has noticed there are already similiar issues. However, I tried the methods in these issues, but they didn't work.

I am using the original Python with CentOS 7, so it might not be a problem caused by EPD.

Pinning to v.1.11.0 and rebuilding do not work for me, the `site` module does exists and can be imported in `python`.

Any ideas on how to solve the problem? Thanks in advance!

Research direction

Start by reproducing the failure with `using PyCall` under Julia 0.6.2 on CentOS 7 and compare it with importing `site` directly in the original Python installation. Review the previously reported PyCall issues and the effects of pinning v1.11.0 and rebuilding. Done means identifying why PyCall cannot find `site` and documenting a verified resolution.
