Currently only the old Date API is supported which comes with a lot of issues

Support for LocalDate, LocalDateTime, etc.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Currently there is a hotfix in place that allows to set the timezone in the annotation (see: https://github.com/JavaWebStack/abstract-data/pull/22)
