Not following

I am running the simple_but_effective.py script.
It shows that the bot is up and running, but in fact, the number of followers in my account does not increase.

Any solution?

Begin with simple_but_effective.py and compare its reported startup state with the account's follower count. Reproduce the run and trace the behavior responsible for gaining followers; done means the cause is confirmed and the behavior is verified after correction.
