The infiltration process does currently not consider the soil type and the topsoil layer depth that is used as a top bucket is set somewhat arbitrarily.
**Describe the solution you'd like**
Include soil parameters that affect infiltration rate and update the depth and possibly number of soil layers. Follow for example LISFLOOD model.
