Description
Suggestion to look at [lux](https://pypi.org/project/lux-api/) ([docs](https://lux-api.readthedocs.io/en/latest/), [GitHub](https://github.com/lux-org/lux)). It's basically a widget to generate graphs, but maybe there's some inspiration to be found in how they pick the columns?

Research direction
Start by reviewing the Lux project, its documentation, and the dashboard's uploaded-data flow. Determine which categorical-variable checks and column-selection behavior would fit this prototype, then define the expected graphs or recommendations before implementation. Done means the scope and user-visible behavior are agreed and supported by tests or examples.
