Tested this in a pure hxcpp environment and was still able to reproduce the results.

Start with the linked Haxe issue #6791 and the Json.stringify entry point, then reproduce the float-precision failure in a pure hxcpp environment as described. Compare the serialized value with the expected precision; done means Json.stringify preserves float precision in the reproduced case.
