[BUG] Failure during pytest on clean install

## Describe the bug
I just did an install on a new machine, following the instructions, and there was 1 failure on pytest.
(though 'muse --model default' subsequently ran with no issues.)

- Operating system: macOS Tahoe 26.4.1
- MUSE version (eg. 1.0.1): Latest
- Installation method (eg. pipx, pip, development mode): Development mode
- Python version (you can get this running `python --version`): 3.11.15
