Editing Metadata has no Effect

Just spent some time using the "editFileDescription" modal to tag members, change the name of a file, and edit the description. Sadly on submission, all that work disappeared. Meaning, the old metadata was still there.

I wonder if this is a known issue? Or maybe the data is getting into the database but not being reflected on the front end?

Start with the editFileDescription modal and trace what happens when its submission completes. Check whether the updated member tags, filename, and description reach the database and whether the frontend reloads them. Done means each edited metadata field persists after submission and is shown on the file afterward.
