Description

What problem are you trying to solve?

Currently, the Linux installer is only provided as a .deb package. This limits compatibility mainly to Debian/Ubuntu-based distributions and makes installation or execution cumbersome on other distributions (such as Fedora, Arch Linux, openSUSE, or immutable systems) without extracting dependencies or converting packages.

What would improve it?

Providing an AppImage release alongside (or in addition to) the .deb package. An AppImage would allow users across any Linux distribution to run the application directly as a standalone executable without installation or dependency conflicts.
