"Primitive Pictures" - artistically recreating images using shapes

I recently stumbled upon this github project: https://github.com/fogleman/primitive
It is really interesting. I thought @shiffman could try recereating this in a challenge either in JS or processing. The author of this repo explains the process here: https://github.com/fogleman/primitive#how-it-works-part-ii
