Hi. I develop a sound installation in MaxMSp with Modalys, a physical modeling tool from Ircam, on aurora borealis and I found a paper that documents a simulation algorithm.
So far they have been considering the visual aspects of it. I don't know how they implement it, but it would be great to have this working in Processing or P5, and mostly to retrieve the data. My interest is indeed to be able to use the resulting data with MaxMSP. In a nutshell, that would be the particles positions, the magnetic field behaviour, the atmosphere gaz composition etc.
