How to manipulate SVG in Processing & p5.js

Hi there!

I would be very interested in this topic; in particular it would be great to understand the possibilities available in Processing to dynamically change the color/fill and other properties of complex vector shapes, imported into Processing as SVG files.
I know there are very good libraries out there that do this kind of job (ie. HYPE by Joshua Davis) but I would like to understand what's going on exactly behind the curtains.
