### Why are we doing this?

On Fridays we do demos.

There are many different programmes and projects running at CYF, and you will have done several of them yourself: ITD, Fundamentals, the main Software Development Course (SDC), CYF+, the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP), Portfolios, CYF Products, all sorts of things are happening! On Fridays, we do demos of our work to each other. We share our progress, have interesting technical conversations, and invite people from the tech industry to participate.

## ⚡ A CYF Demo is a Lightning Talk
1. 3-5 minutes of talking about your product, feature, or project. You may use slides but you don't have to.
1. 5 minutes Q&A, where you invite questions from the audience and answer them

### Maximum time in hours

### How to get help

1. ⏳ Spend no more than 45 minutes preparing your demo.
1. ⏳ Spend no more than 10 minutes giving your demo.

🧬 Instead of spending a long time making one perfect demo, come every week, demo, and get better iteratively. Get help by giving help: attend other demos, give feedback, pay attention to what works and what doesn't.

### How to submit

1. Post a notice of your demo in #cyf-general with the date, time, link to join or address of demo, any slides or deployed code
2. Show up and demo

### How to review

Ask questions about how to get better.

### Good questions
- What one thing would you have liked to know more about in my demo?
- What is the key thing you will take away from my demo?
- Would you have liked me to speak more quickly or slow down?
- What could I have edited out from my demo?
