The current repo is described in the readme.
I want to convert this to all our supported languages, starting with Python, Node + Typescript.
Please convert in a new branch.
Some considerations:
use the Python v2 programming model
Use as much as the /infra/* bicep as possible, and always prefer using AVM
Please use this repo as a reference of what Python quickstarts should look like: https://github.com/Azure-Samples/functions-quickstart-python-azd
Use latest functions extension bundles, because there is no PiPy or equivalent to reference runtime for functions.
Please baseline on Python version 3.12
A successful PR to migrate to Node/Typescript has already been done in #2
