v4.0.0: Unusual behaviour for Numbered List and Bulleted List

I upgraded to `v4.0.0` and I noticed that for both numbered and bulleted list there are certain observations that looks like a bug, but it seems they are deliberate design decisions, however they are unconventional:

1. One cannot trigger a numbered list block by merely typing `1`+ `.` + `Space`. You have to explicitly select it from the block selection menu
2. After selecting a numbered list block and typing the first item, pressing return key does not create a new number, it just continues the item at the next line. This happens for bulleted list as well
3. After entering the first item, in order to get to the next item for both numbered list and bulleted list, one will have to explicitly select the block from the selection menu
4. The spacing between items is so large for both numbered list and bulleted list (Is there a way to adjust this?)
