# Rationale #

We can't assume the user knows that the address is case insensitive. I realised this when today my wife visited a hairdresser who apologised that the email address she provided ended with .AU instead of .au and she asked my wife to remember to correct it to lower case.

The user will pause and think and not proceed because the case look different than that she typed.
