Use "editable" property to edit cell with Function AND type

A use-case I have is that I want to have the "save" button to save an edited cell, so I want to use "editable= {{type:"textarea"}} but I also want to supply a function that will decide if the user can even edit the cell at all.
With the current API it is not possible since I have to decide which one to use.
How can I overcome this?
