Remove hover effect from Expanded Rows?

I'm using the expanding row option on a table which uses hover, but I noticed that the expanding rows also show the hover effect even though I only want the hover effect on the original table.
In short, I just want the main table rows to show the hover effect, but not the

Is there a simple way to do this? Do I need to mess with some of the CSS?
