"click thumbnail" tooltip is unpredictable

## Description

This thing seems to show up sometimes and not other times: unpredictable.

## Expected Behavior

This should only be visible if no cells are selected -> use default on initial load. It should disappear when clicked or when the user opens a cell in 3D.

## Reproduction

Select cell in plot.
switch to 3d viewer and then back to plot.
the selected cell tooltip shows up.
if you have many cells selected, which one gets this tooltip and why?
