Machines and discrete systems

[Matrix models](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matrix_population_models) are widely used in ecology, and are much like machines in your parlance. However, in these models, it is common to have an ordering of the various submodels (e.g. first have a birth model, then a migration model, then a death model), rather than have them working simultaneously. Is this something that can be supported in your directed syntax?
