dependency were found, but they required a higher minimum deployment target

When I follow your instruction to type "pod install UIPopUpView" in terminal while in the project directory of the project I'm trying to use UIPopUpView with, I get the following error:

[!] Unknown command: `UIPopUpView`

When I use the following in the Podfile and type "pod install":

platform :ios, '8.0'

target 'TrialUIPopUpView' do
use_frameworks!
pod 'UIPopUpView'

end

,I get the following error:

[!] Unable to satisfy the following requirements:

- `UIPopUpView` required by `Podfile`

Specs satisfying the `UIPopUpView` dependency were found, but they required a higher minimum deployment target.

The CocoaPods documentation says that not providing a version would cause CocoaPods to install the most current version of the Pod.

When I try using other arguments for version I still get the error, "Specs satisfying the `UIPopUpView` dependency were found, but they required a higher minimum deployment target."
