please add documentation about features dnssec ; production, recursiveness

hi, I am looking for a dns proxy server.

I can find a lot of information on features. But I cannot find:
- do you recommend using the proxy in production environments
- do I need to use an upstream dns server, or is that optional in dns port 53 protocol. Can the server be used as a recursive dns?
- does the proxy verify dnssec or not, is that configurable?
- how does traffic scale compared to other dns proxy servers?
