# Feature Request: Add an Option to Disable Statistics

## Summary

Add a simple on/off toggle in the settings to completely disable the statistics feature.

## Rationale

AdGuard for Android currently does not provide an option to disable statistics. Some users may prefer to disable statistics because they do not use the feature, simply do not want it enabled, or prefer to keep unnecessary features disabled to minimize resource usage and reduce unnecessary background activity. Providing this option would eliminate that extra background activity, which may also help reduce battery consumption, system resource usage, and storage usage by preventing statistics and recent activity data from being collected and stored.

Additionally, some users configure AdGuard once and rarely interact with it afterward. For those users, continuously collecting and updating statistics may provide little or no practical value while still consuming system resources and storage space for up to 10,000 recent activity records, even if the impact is minimal.

AdGuard for Windows already includes an option to disable statistics, demonstrating that the feature is both practical and useful for users who prefer not to keep statistics enabled.

## Proposed Behavior

* Add a **Disable Statistics** toggle in the settings.
* When enabled, the application should stop collecting and updating statistics until the feature is re-enabled.
* By default, the current behavior can remain unchanged.
