Issue with Installation of Jboss application server

I am encountering a problem. I need to get Jboss started before I can attempt to run another software. The following is the error message after executing the Standalone batch file.

Unrecognized VM option 'MetaspaceSize=96M'
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

This is my current JDK version
- jdk1.7.0_80

I am rather new to this and hence any explanation in any form would be greatly appreciated.
