Android app freezes on loading screen after signup on Xiaomi 13

The phone is not rooted, although the Magisk app may be visible on the device during the recording. I’m mentioning this in case it is relevant to your testing/debugging.

I was able to install the Bread Wallet app and start the onboarding process. However, after signing up, the app appeared to remain stuck on a loading screen indefinitely. I waited for some time to see if it would eventually proceed, but I was never able to reach a usable wallet/account state.

I tried closing the app and attempting the signup process again. I encountered the same issue on the second attempt.

The uploaded screen recording is from my second attempt. The total length of the recording is approximately 2 minutes. I only waited for some time during that attempt and did not perform any further troubleshooting beyond closing the app and retrying the signup.

Because I was unable to successfully create/set up the account, I could not proceed with the succeeding tasks, which require an account. I decided not to continue with Tasks 2–7 rather than provide feedback on features I was not actually able to test.

There may be moments where the screen appears black in the recording. This may simply be the phone temporarily blocking/hiding the screen while I was performing fingerprint/biometric authentication. It may not be an issue with the Bread app itself.

The indefinite loading after signup was the main blocker for me. I wasn't sure whether the app was still processing something, whether I should continue waiting, or whether the setup had failed. There was no clear indication that the account setup was progressing or that I needed to take another action.

I would recommend looking into what happens during this post-signup loading state, particularly on Xiaomi 13 / HyperOS / Android 16, since it prevented me from completing even the first task.
