# New Vision and Updated Clients
With the release of version 0.9.2, both clients now support new features like network transactions. This update also introduces a clearer separation of purpose between the two clients.
## WebClient: Interact with Deployed Applications
The WebClient is designed for interacting with deployed smart contracts in the browser—such as a MultiSig wallet or a DEX. It acts as the interface between the smart contract and the user’s wallet, enabling seamless interaction from front-end applications.
Developers can also use the WebClient to build simple, browser-based apps that directly interact with smart contracts. As a result, not all Rust client tutorials will be relevant for the WebClient.
## Rust Client: Build and Deploy Applications
The Rust client remains the primary tool for developing, deploying, and managing smart contracts. It’s best suited for back-end development, handling complex application logic, managing off-chain state, and performing tasks that go beyond the browser environment.
