Breaking this out of https://github.com/0xMiden/miden-base/issues/1593.
It's currently not clear whether this is needed in the VM at all (see https://github.com/0xMiden/miden-base/issues/1593#issuecomment-3134281982), or enough to have this ability in the `TransactionAuthenticator`
