Description

As seen in some tests in #90 which call python -m zyte_api, it fails on Python 3.14, where asyncio.get_event_loop() doesn't create a loop if one doesn't exist. So this code needs to be changed.

Research direction

Start with main.py and reproduce the failure using the tests from #90 that call python -m zyte_api under Python 3.14. Trace the event-loop setup and verify that invoking the module succeeds on Python 3.14 without breaking supported versions.
