Description

Use Termux instead of Android Terminal. Refer to my fork for more.

@zhanghai, please add the rationale for the Termux RUN_COMMAND permission and improve the consistency of my code (I started developing apps for Android not long ago).

Termux is a more robust terminal emulator and therefore should be used in the "Open in Terminal" function.

Finally, hope this gets implemented.

Research direction

Start at the “Open in Terminal” function and review the linked termux fork, paying particular attention to Termux's RUN_COMMAND permission and the existing Android Terminal integration. Done means the function uses Termux consistently and the permission rationale is documented; verify the affected Android behavior manually.
