Description

Issue 1

  • A user cannot find and replace text with a search option in the text viewer. It is extremely restricted and feels obselete.

Issue 2

  • If you can add a Storage Manager for managing cloud storage like we see in Documents UI and Solid Explorer (Network Connection Wizard) that would be helpful.
  • This will allow user to control Cloud storage within Material_Files.
    • Like for example, you can treat that specific cloud storage provider as a native folder within the Material_Files.

Here's an example of the implementation of the same. The screenshot of the app is the default Documents UI where you can access various cloud providers that supports it.

This is an image of Network Connection Wizard in the solid explorer. You can login to access them and use it like a normal folder.

Research direction

The request combines two separate features: find/replace in the text viewer and cloud storage access as native folders. Start by locating the text viewer and existing storage-provider entry points; confirm the supported cloud providers and interaction design before proceeding. Done means both features have defined scope, working UI flows, and verification for the affected cases.
