Description
Hi,
It'd be nice if Material files could scan the network for local SMB servers similarly to VLC. Recently, although I knew my SMB server's hostname, IP and password I couldn't log in and I wasnt sure what I got wrong because of the generic error. I've attached VLC's implementation, where you only need to enter the username and password to log in.

Research direction
Start by locating Material Files’ existing SMB connection and login flow, then compare its behavior with the attached VLC implementation. Done means local SMB servers can be discovered and users can log in with the required credentials without needing to provide all server details manually.
