Description
When I create a file shortcut to the pixel launcher it always has the same static file icon. It would be better if the icon for the file i want to create a shortcut to my launcher was the same as in the files list. Or at least have some basic icons for file shortcuts like if i want to create a shortcut for a pdf file it should have a PDF icon not just a static file icon. Google drive already does that with file shortcuts.

Research direction
Start by locating the Android launcher file-shortcut creation entry point and compare its icon selection with the file-list icon behavior. Check how file types such as PDF are represented, then verify that created shortcuts use the matching file icon or an appropriate type icon.
