Description

  • Where do you run it? [Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)]
  • Are you running Postgres Operator in production? [no]
  • Type of issue? [question]

I'm currently in the evaluation phase for using this postgres operator for production workloads but I'm not confident it'll properly work on Oracle Cloud (OCI).

I saw support for AWS, GCP and Azure clouds especially around Object Storage backups but I'm wondering if the same can be achieved on OCI as well.

If it's not supported as of today, are there plans to add support for it? Is it even clear what kind of functionality might not work on OCI?

Thanks.

Research direction

The issue names Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and object-storage backups but no files or tests. Start by comparing the existing AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud support with OCI requirements. Done would mean a documented compatibility answer or a scoped support plan.
