Add TypeScript types for hooks

**Feature request**
It would be great to have analytics for controllers.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_analytics` with default `false`.

First reconcile the TypeScript hook-types request in the title with the controller analytics and enable_analytics configuration described in the body. Then locate the controller and configuration entry points; done requires an agreed scope, documented default behavior, and corresponding validation or tests.
