Refactor data for better readability

**Feature request**
It would be great to have notifications for config.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_notifications` with default `false`.

Start by locating the configuration handling and any existing notification entry point; the issue names no files or tests. Clarify which production events should trigger notifications and how enable_notifications=false behaves. Done means the option is documented, defaults to false, and the intended notification behavior is covered by tests.
