Update core documentation

**Feature request**
It would be great to have search for components.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_search` with default `false`.

No file, test, or entry point is named. Start by locating the core configuration handling and the component-search entry point, then determine how the new option should affect production deployments. Done means component search works when enabled and remains disabled by default; add coverage for both settings.
