Improve error messages in core

**Feature request**
It would be great to have export for store.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_export` with default `false`.

Start by locating the store implementation and configuration handling, then trace how production deployments currently persist or access store data. Define the export format and verify that the new enable_export option defaults to false; done means exports work when enabled without changing existing behavior when disabled.
