Improve error messages in handlers

Currently parsers lacks proper export support.

**Proposed solution**
Add configurable export with sensible defaults.

**Priority**: Low/Medium

Start by locating the parser handlers referenced in the issue and read how their current exports are handled. Determine the configuration entry point and define sensible defaults from the existing behavior. Done means parser exports are configurable and the default behavior remains sensible; the issue does not name tests or files to run.
