Refactor validation for better readability

**Feature request**
It would be great to have export for config.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_export` with default `false`.

Start by locating the configuration handling and any existing export-related entry points. Clarify the export format, destination, and behavior when `enable_export` is false; done should include the new option defaulting to false, working export behavior when enabled, and coverage for both settings.
