Consider deprecating old utils API

**Feature request**
It would be great to have analytics for store.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_analytics` with default `false`.

No file, test, or entry point is named. Start by locating the store and configuration handling, then clarify which analytics are required and how they should behave when enable_analytics remains false; done should include the new option with a false default and a defined analytics path.
