Add TypeScript types for routes

**Feature request**
It would be great to have sorting for controllers.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_sorting` with default `false`.

The issue names routes, controllers, TypeScript types, and the enable_sorting configuration option, but no files, tests, or entry points. First reconcile whether the requested work is route typing or controller sorting, then locate the relevant configuration and controller code. Done should match the clarified scope and cover the default false behavior.
