Optimize hooks for large datasets

**Feature request**
It would be great to have export for utils.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_export` with default `false`.

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the utils implementation and configuration handling, then determine what “export for utils” means and where enable_export belongs; done means the behavior is defined, the default remains false, and coverage verifies it.
