Handle edge cases in pagination

**Feature request**
It would be great to have logging for config.

**Use case**
Many users need this functionality for production deployments.

**Implementation idea**
Add a new config option `enable_logging` with default `false`.

The payload names no files or tests; start by locating the configuration handling and existing logging entry points, and clarify whether the pagination title is relevant. Done means adding the enable_logging option with a false default and confirming the intended logging behavior for production deployments.
